Description
On 4 February 2026, ECHA added two substances to the SVHC Candidate List: (1) n-hexane (CAS 110-54-3, EC 203-777-6), classified for specific target organ toxicity after repeated exposure under Article 57(f) - human health; and (2) 4,4'-[2,2,2-trifluoro-1-(trifluoromethyl)ethylidene]diphenol and its salts, classified as toxic for reproduction under Article 57(c). The Candidate List now contains 253 entries. Companies placing articles containing these substances on the EU market must provide recipients with sufficient information for safe use, and notification to ECHA is required if substances are present above 0.1% w/w.
