EPA announces intent to extend PFAS NPDWR compliance timeline to 2031 while keeping PFOA/PFOS MCLs and reconsidering other PFAS components

EPA announced it will maintain the National Primary Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR) maximum contaminant levels (MCLs) for PFOA and PFOS, but plans to undertake a rulemaking to extend the compliance deadline to 2031 (from 2029).
