Description

The European Commission has proposed a Council Decision authorizing the EU to submit a proposal for listing bis(2-ethylhexyl) tetrabromophthalate (TBPH) in Annex A or Annex B to the Stockholm Convention. TBPH is a brominated flame retardant used in plastics, electronics, construction materials, and wire insulation.
